Patricia Phoenix (later Patricia Booth ) was one of the original cast members of the tv soap opera
Coronation Street playing the hugely popular character Elsie Tanner. She appeared in episode one on
December 9th 1960 and stayed with the show until 1973. She returned back to the series in 1976 and
left for good in 1984.
She is undoubtedly one of the shows biggest ever stars and much missed by her colleagues and fans.
